CWS Harrisonburg
Web Design, Print, Video editing
February 2023 - April 2025
Design work for CWS Harrisonburg, a refugee and immigrant resettlement organization, focused on implementing bold and innovative approaches to communication for the local offices using print, web, multimedia, and social platforms through ethical story telling. Projects included a user-friendly website redesign, annual impact reports, a mission-focused video, a donation-linked coffee sleeve, and an educational foldable about unaccompanied children—all created to support the organization’s outreach through clear, purposeful design.
The CWS Harrisonburg website was redesigned to be more visually engaging and user-friendly, with a focus on serving the local community as well as new and existing clients. The updated layout, improved navigation, and refreshed visuals were tailored to make important resources easier to find and to reflect the welcoming, mission-driven work of the organization. Below are a couple featured pages from the redesigned site.

The CWS Virginia Impact Report was designed to highlight the organization’s annual achievements, community impact, and ongoing efforts in refugee resettlement and support services. With engaging visuals, compelling stories, and data, the report communicates the organization's mission-driven work while building transparency and trust with supporters, partners, and the wider community.

This informative foldable was created to raise awareness about unaccompanied children and the vital services CWS provides to support them. Designed to engage donors and the community, the piece also outlines ways to get involved and offer support. The foldable was entirely hand-assembled—printed, cut, and folded—to give it a personal, tactile quality that reinforces the care and intention behind the message.

As part of Welcome Week—a national campaign celebrating inclusive communities—these coffee sleeves were designed for CWS in partnership with local coffee shops in the Shenandoah Valley. The sleeves featured bold, welcoming visuals and a QR code linking to CWS resources and donation opportunities, helping raise awareness about immigrant inclusion in a simple, everyday moment.
